Candlelight

Richard M. Ankers - Author

 In amber flicker
 I see your skin.
 A greater flame
 It sparks within.
 Desire so fierce
 Fills the air,
 As golden tones
 Infuse your hair.
 If devil exists
 Then here he sits
 For wanton thoughts
 In me persist.
 And as you raise
 Dark eyes to see
 The beast within
 Consumes all me.
 Light does tremor
 In deepest night,
 Refracts in eyes
 So black, yet bright.
 And I am lost
 In want of you
 As candle wanes
 And I pursue.
